Ying-Yu Alicia Chen

Ying-Yu Alicia is International Correspondent for MotM, and an independent journalist and writer specializing in forced migration, conflict resolution and humanitarian affairs. She is based in Taiwan, covering China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Malta, Lebanon and Colombia. Her work appears in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Al Jazeera English, Equal Times and other outlets. She speaks Mandarin, English and Spanish but is ashamed that her Taiwanese is not good enough to have a smooth chat with her grandparents. She loves dancing and recently has fallen in love with bachata and salsa.
